Teotihuacán is a popular tourist ​and archaeological site ​outside of Mexico City; officials said they will maintain security in the area as they investigate the incident.

Mexico's security officials said a gunman opened fired at the popular tourist spot, killing a Canadian woman and injuring at least four people.

Officials say the gunman killed himself after the attack.
