Steering Shaft I bought both upper and lower as my old steering shafts had a lot of play. 5-10 minutes and the new ones were installed. Took some time to get the old upper and lower out as they were rusted together pretty good but the new upper and lower took me about 5 minutes to install. The parts are sturdy and no more play in the steering shaft(s). Very happy with the product. Thanks CARiD.

This appears to be a hi quality product. I just wish that it came with sufficient length of fuel line and the option for a fuel gauge. I believe it’s a little pricey but overall I am very pleased with the purchase.

Better than the brand they have at AutoZone. You can see the quality and durability in the product when you compare it to the other brand.

Not only should the mounting bracket be enlarged to provide better edge margin, there should also a third mounting bracket - one bracket on each side, and one on the front (vehicle rear).\n\nHaving a bracket just on one side and the front creates uneven load displacement on the two mounting brackets when turning, braking, and accelerating.\n\nMaterial quality seems good. Welds look good. Safety needs to be addressed. Add the third bracket, and enlarge the current ones. Charge $50 more.

Has a dent on the lid, and the lock doesn’t work.

First, I’d like to mention the seller was great; good price, fast shipping, trouble free purchase. However, the part is not a direct fit for an 02 Chevy Silverado 2500hd, and I would assume neither for any other Silverado models of the same generation (01-04), if any Silverado models. Will fit with some modification. The shift plate and shifter lock cable will have to be swapped over from the oem mechanism, if they are useable. Would not recommend a diy install unless you are handy with tools or an experienced mechanic. Overall product quality I would rate 7/10. While material quality and tolerances seem fairly reasonable, assembly could use better quality control.
