Mr. Bird's Physics II class got into the Halloween spirit with this project, catapulting pumpkins! Students were studying forces of energy and gravity, and they worked in groups over the course of four class periods to use their engineering and design knowledge to build large catapults. They then took their inventions outside and launched the pumpkins! Each group was allowed three tries, making adjustments after each one.
